Let us tell you the story of a young lady with stunning beauty and yet, despite her ethereal beauty she harbored a secret sorrow for she believed her smile lacked the charm. It all began many years ago when she had a smile as beautiful as she was and during a tragic incident she fractured one of her front teeth. After this incident, she was devastated and sought for a solution to fix her tooth, her smile and shortly after that she made an appointment in some dental clinic hoping that they will fix her crooked smile. Little did she know, her dreams were scattered, they not only placed an unnatural looking crown in the tooth but also did they trim the adjacent tooth and now her smile wasn’t just crooked, it included an abnormal looking crown and now has gap in between her teeth. With days passing by, hiding her smile, she forgot how to smile, the once smile queen who used to love smiling now hid her smile with hands.The joy that once danced on her lips seemed to fade as she looked in the mirror, her smile no longer reflecting the warmth she felt inside but she didn’t lose faith, she researched and researched for days and got to know about our dental clinic and approached us for an appointment.

When she first visited us, she was very skeptical and that was genuine for someone who had such an experience with previous dental visit. “One bad experience can make it hard to trust again, as each new chance is shadowed by old scars.” The first appointment with her was short, we calmly listened to what she had to share, her tragic experience and her sweet expectations. After examining her teeth and taking an X-ray to rule out any underlying issues, the real challenge was the unnatural appearance of her crown and the gaps between her teeth. Confident in our work, we reassured her that she was in skilled hands. As we shared the success of our previous cases, we could see the flicker of trust beginning to light up her eyes. A quick photo session of her teeth and smile followed, capturing every detail for digital planning, so we could restore her teeth to their natural beauty, with a perfect harmony of color, shape, and size.
Planning for journey of imperfection to perfection
Simply replacing the crown wasn’t the solution for her, as the existing crown was too large and left unsightly gaps. We offered her two options: The first was to enhance her smile with porcelain veneers on the two adjacent teeth (custom-made thin shells that fit perfectly over the front surfaces of teeth) paired with a new crown. The second option was to use composite veneers, a tooth-colored material, to fill in the gaps and subtly increase the size of the adjacent teeth, creating a uniform and natural appearance. After presenting both possibilities, she chose the second option. She was deeply impressed by our thoughtful approach, appreciating how we took our time with careful planning, unlike her previous experience where everything felt rushed and unconsidered.

With the digital impression in hand, we meticulously designed a new temporary crown and sent it off to the lab, where it would be brought to life. The following day, we replaced the previous temporary crown with new 3D printed temporary crown and carefully restoring the adjacent teeth with composite veneers. Each tooth was meticulously shaped and sized as planned, sculpted to mirror the natural beauty of her smile.
